In 2002 two riding buddies Jon and Jim set out with a goal to build their childhood dream of running a cycle shop in the market town of Louth, on the edge of the Lincolnshire wolds.
2022 celebrates Louth Cycle Centre’s 20th Birthday.
As the established store began to go from strength to strength so did the popularity of cycling. This gave Louth Cycle Centre the confidence to continue its expansion.
Our store colleagues are enthusiastic cyclists and some compete in events such as cross country and cyclocross themselves and ensure the highest levels of technical ability and knowledge. We pride ourselves on giving customers the right information to make informed decisions about their cycle and accessory purchases.
With this along came bike fitting and custom builds.
The business continued to prosper and soon out-grew its original premises and expanded to a new premises more than 3 times in size in 2014
The business invested in systems to grow its eCommerce operation, and now provides leading edge multi-channel services – including the ability to ‘Click and Collect’ in store
Website to offer a Click & Collect service – savvy shoppers appreciate and, increasingly, expect this option as it provides the convenience and choice of online shopping with the service of dealing with cycling experts in-store.
The business also operates a number of schemes relating to the government's Cycle to Work scheme, promoting cycling through tax incentives on the cost of a new bike and / or safety accessories.

Louth Cycle Centre is Merida Bicycles oldest longest serving UK Dealer and is also a Scott Pro Shop.
Louth Cycle Centre has its own race team which competes in cross country, cyclocross, road racing and enduro.
